i was just wondering what do a fail safe do dos it shut off the moter when you turn the radio off ?

The fail safe is an electric device that attaches to your throttle servo that is connected to your engine. What happens is that when you go out of range or have low battery power, the fail safe throws the servo to the closed-throttle position. The engine should not shut off. Once you're in range, the fail safe will disengage and allow you to bring the R/C back. If you have low battery, you will have to physically go and pick up your R/C.
This may seem like a hassle but guess what? It's better than the R/C flying away from you at high speed right into a wall! This small device saves you hundreds of dollars. |

OK then on these videos the guy shuts off the moter and i was just wondering how he dos that and there's the link at the bottom thanks please respond

I am not familiar with this type of boat but he might have a kill switch on it somehow or he may have just adjusted the throttle to shut off the engine when he moved the throttle in the "Brake" position.
